Tell us about how you started in the company and your current position.

When I went on the field excursion for the company, I saw the workers and thought that I just might match the atmosphere here. That was the initial spark of interest.
Currently I operate the various programs for the lathe and am in charge of submitting the daily reports for production.
Before entering the company, I had originally wanted to be assigned to the quality control department, but after the training, I realized I enjoyed the creation process of the products and joined the manufacturing team instead.
At Sanwa, they don't discriminate by gender so I was challenged with a lot of things, including physically demanding tasks. It taught me to take responsibility for what I knew I had to do, and through that I gained a lot of motivation and strength.

What is the best thing about working at Sanwa?

Besides the fact that we have a wide team with many departments, there are many people here that have years of experience in a specific department and really honed their skills throughout their time here. That gained knowledge is immeasurable.
I am surrounded by many incredible people and if there is something I don't understand or if there is an issue, I am confident we can solve it together. I believe that the best thing about Sanwa is that - our specialized and talented team.

70 years and at a turning point in the company, what future company innovations are you excited for?

We should be looking out for each other and move forward as one with the same goals.
We should be open to differences in opinion, and understand that we each have different ways to look at things.
I also believe we need to understand and accept that the diversity in occupations and work style will only grow. I hope that my company will be a pioneer in both understanding this change and the needs of the workers, and help advance it.
